PROJECT: Software Budget Review

ENVIRONMENT: Various utilized in Oil and Gas software packages and solution suites.

CHALLENGE: Assigned to the internal SBR – Software Budget Review project and reporting directly to CIO and PMO. Responsible for optimization of the Husky software landscape with the target savings of $10M in software licenses renewal and maintenance fees paid to the software vendors in 2011-2012. The assignment is to remediate gaps, and propose resolutions aligned with Husky Strategy and Enterprise Architecture long term technology road-maps and directions.

OUTCOME: Set the Project Management Governance Environment as well as IT/EA Standards and Best Practices in the Multidisciplinary Research Environment to assure successful project delivery; Reviewed, maintained and delivered work results according to agreed EA and PMO Governance standards, and best practices assuring proper financial support and budget of all project management phases
